Streszczenie wykładu:
The area nowadays called Asymptotic Geometric Analysis (AGA) takes its roots in the Local Theory of Banach spaces. It studies finite dimensional normed spaces and convex bodies via quantitative invariants of various nature as the dimension or other relevant parameters are appropriately large. Deep geometric and probabilistic methods developed in AGA are used in many other areas of Mathematics. We present a new asymptotic non-limiting approach to theory of random matrices which emerged in the last few years. This is a study of typical parameters of random matrices with the fixed, but large, dimension - to the contrary to the dimension tending to infinity, as in the classical theory. Examples include the extremal singular numbers, connected condition numbers, the behaviour of the spectrum. Probabilistic properties - expectation, concentration, deviation inequalities - are investigated.
